Mochituki

Last week, Oscar and I went to visit an old friend from mine, Koji. I met him in Toronto about 10 years ago, when he lived in a house on Bathurst with Chizuko and other friends of ours. He had a party at his new house near the pacific ocean. It is far from my house and I was really worried that Oscar wouldn't be able to deal with the long drive. However, there was no traffic and Oscar did not have any problem. Koji has Kine which is made of wood and shaped like a big hammer and Usu which is a large sized wooden mortar. To use Kine and Usu is a traditional way to make the rice cake we call Mochi. It`s a lots of work to make Mochi this way, but he and his friend did it. It was really tasty and fun to talk to old friends and new friends!
Oscar has started eating solid food. He showed that he is really good at eating to every one at the party.
先週に、お友達のコウジ君と奥さんのあゆみちゃんのお家の新年もちつき大会にお招きされました。とてもきれいなお家で海も近くていい所でした。よかったね、コウジ君！コウジ君とはトロントで会ったお友達。もう、10年ぐらい前になっちゃうのかな～。こっちは子持ちだし、向こうは奥さんもいて、家も買って．．．なんか大人になったわね～、とふと思います。おもち、その他の料理、おいしかったです。どうも、ありがとう！コウジ君、あゆみちゃんのお友達にもオスカー君をかわいがってもらってほんとによかった。離乳食も食べて、みんなにすごい食べっぷりといわれてます。だって、本当にすごくって、鯉がえさを食べてる感じでオスカーもおかゆを食べます。昨日から、2回食、そしておかゆプラスにんじんです。楽しそうにおいしく食べるのはいいけど、しっしんが出始めたのでママとしてはちょっと心配です。ほら、新米ママだから、なんでも異変があるとビビルわけ。アトピーとかじゃないといいけど．．．
