Oscar was not supposed to dance, but I guess he know he missed his chance to shine. He joined the older kids!!

hakabune christmas party 1
It's been long time to update the blog. This is Oscar's daycare Christmas part last year. He is singing some kind of worship song. It is kind of funny to see my son is singing worship song, because I don't know any of the songs, and also he does not show any of the signs at home that he goes to Christian base daycare. Anyway, I am simply amazed!

"There are several traditional dances in Japan, but the one of the most famous and common dance is Bon dance, which is called "Bon Odori" in Japanese. People dance Bon Dance in the Bon Festival. The Bon Festival is held every summer, in every district in every city.
Bon means welcoming ancestors' souls and holding a memorial service for the souls. There is a Bon week in August every year, and Bon continues for about a week. During Bon, sometimes all relatives of family gather and hold a memorial service for their ancestors, and enjoy being in a reminiscent mood. This traditional comes from Buddhism in China.

2008 summer memories In Japan

Oscar and I went to Japan to see his grandma and grandpa. Two weeks were too short for us... especially for mom.. He was very shy. I guess he was shocked that every body in the neighborhood. knows him and he does not know any of them.
He had great time with his grandma and grandpa. He told me he wants to go back to Japan again soon. I feel same way...
2008 summer memories

It has been long time since we updated the blog. These are my favorite moments of the summer of 2008. Oscar is growing. He is almost half the size of his mother. He speaks better English than his mom. Mom always forgets to use articles. And he speaks much better Japanese than his dad. Thank God. He loves to sing songs and dance. He is a little bit of a shy guy, and he's very kind. He loves animals. He has developed a fear of the dark sometimes. He is funny. He loves cars, trains and Thomas. He knows all the alphabet. He is very stubborn like his parents. When he gets mad, he screams like crazy. He still throws food even though he knows he should not do that. He does not like getting a time out. He is not a baby anymore. We love him!
