innovations in parenting

Oscar is getting big. Relatively speaking, of course. He's only five weeks old, cut him some slack. But he has started to outgrow some of his newborn-sized clothes. He's moving on from the "zero months old" rack. Wakaba is a super-genius who figured out how to get a few more weeks out of the pyjamas with built-in feet by cutting off the built-in feet. She is a fashion designer, you know.
Don't worry, we can put socks on him to keep him warm. And - as my friend Geoff pointed out - when Oscar has a brother or sister someday and we need more clothes, we can just sew the feet back on. Or better yet, re-attach the feet with velcro for easy removal when that kid gets big. We're definitely onto something here. I think the cut-off pyjamas style is kind of classy, like those crazy one-piece men's swimsuits from the 1920's. Very F. Scott Fitzgerald. Wakaba, on the other hand, just thinks it looks very Parkdale.
