イェイェ!

I bet you've been wondering if French pop star Sylvie Vartan ever did a Japanese-language TV ad for a women's clothing line. Well, the answer is yes. Wakaba found this on YouTube today somehow, and she remembers her mom singing the jingle.

There's also this Nicholas Cage pachinko ad. It was on TV a lot the first time I went to Japan. I have a theory that this was the inspiration for the whole plot of "Lost In Translation". This as makes me remember why I once thought Nick Cage was funny as hell. Nick, Nick, Nick. What happened? Anyway, pachinko is a Japanese gambling game that is like a cross between pinball and a slot machine. Wakaba used to be really good at it.

As long as Magurobashi is selling out, here's that Rice Krispies ad that the Rolling Stones did in 1964 and have been trying to bury ever since. I'm not that familiar with Mick's lyrics post-"Some Girls" so I can't say for sure, but I believe this is the only time he uses the word "milk-a-licious" in a song. At least that's what I think he's saying.

Don't worry, Oscar will be back next time.
