debu akachan
We're still waiting around for the kid to show up, so more boring old pictures. This is a gigantic baby Wakaba looking unimpressed with life outside the womb. She was nine pounds at birth.
This is me, looking like a big fat happy drunk baby. Kind of like now. Our kid is going to be a porker. Japanese lesson: "debu akachan" means "fat baby". This phrase will probably come in handy in a few days, but Wakaba says we should be careful about calling the baby "debu" because it's a little bit of a rude word if you use it in the wrong context. I guess we'll be fine until the baby can understand what the hell we're talking about. No offense, baby!
